The Lightning Thief A

Today I will be talking about a book study we did in school named, The Lightning Thief by the author Rick Riordan. The book is about the adventurous journey of a character Perseous Jackson aka Percy. The story unfolds with Percy and his friends, Annabeth and Grover go on a quest to retrieve a Greek God's master item that helps him get some his power. The god's name is Zues, the god of lightning. Percy's father is a god named Poseidon. He is the god of water. Being the son of Poseidon, gives him some unique powers. Whenever Percy gets in to the water, and is hurt, he gets healed immediately. There were also times where he had to face the villains Hades sent. For example, Maduesa. One look at Maduesa's face, and you will turn into a statue. He also gets betrayed by his friend, Luke, at camp half-blood, where all demi gods go. His mom however, got held by a monster and he thought that she died. But she was being held by Hades- the god of the underworld where people go when the die. At the end he gets his mom back and gets to met his father. One of my favorite parts in the this book is when Percy gets his quest. One character I am most like is Annabeth because she likes to read and so do I. I am also a little like Percy because I am a bit adventures. Now I will name some of the Greek Gods. First there is Zues, the god of lighting. There is Athena, the god of love. finally, there is the god of war, Ares. In so many ways, you can describe The Lightning Thief but this is my way. Bye!
